FIREWORKS
The Bronx was the fi rst in the nation to wish
America a happy 243rd birthday with its annual
‘New York Salutes America Boardwalk Festival and
Fireworks Extravaganza’ on Thursday, June 27 at
Orchard Beach. Co-hosted by Borough President
Ruben Diaz, Jr. and Councilman Mark Gjonaj, the
Bronx’s offi cial launch to the year’s Independence
Day celebrations featured live music performances
and a spectacular professional fi reworks display
courtesy of Grucci at the Bronx Riviera.
