CAMP EAST WOODS
East Woods School has been shaping confident, motivated and kind leaders
since its inception back in 1946. The faculty cultivates confidence through
the philosophy that making mistakes presents the best opportunity to learn
and grow. From a young age, children are taught to be fearless in the face
of failure and capture that opportunity to acquire knowledge. They have
always encouraged students to raise their hand and ask questions and seize
that curiosity. East Woods School offers a STEAM-based curriculum where
students can immerse themselves in science, technology, math, foreign
languages, history, literature, athletics and the arts (musical, performing,
visual and industrial). Students quickly grasp the idea that their education is

SACHEM PUBLIC LIBRARY
A great public library is a place for education, engagement and inspiration.
Sachem Public Library fulfills all of that and more with a mission to “Inspire.
Engage. Educate.” Our most recent Summer Reading Club boasted 2,473
participants across children, teens and adults. The library offers two outdoor
spaces, Inside/Out, a registered Public Garden, and Discovery Grove, an
outdoor nature classroom for children. In our Inside/Out Garden, two free
annual events include a spooky walk and a holiday light show. Each event
sees thousands of visits annually. We continue to offer learning, crafting and
recreation activities in person, live on Zoom and as recorded segments on
YouTube. Library patrons can borrow museum passes for free admission to

Temple Israel Beth HaGan Early Childhood
Center is committed to providing a warm,
nurturing, and caring environment in which
children can develop and grow. Here children
learn to interact, respect and trust others while
learning about themselves. Our modern,
creative, learning environment provides
opportunities for teachers to teach across the
disciplines and assist children in seeing
interrelationships of things they are learning
fostering a sense of accomplishment and
success. Active participation through
experiences infuse the children with the joy of
