DRIFTWOOD DAY CAMP
Kids need a place to make memories and Driftwood Day Camp is a place to
do it. Since 1959, Driftwood has been a safe, comforting and exciting summer
home away from home for campers. Children improve their confidence and
self-esteem thanks to a nurturing and caring environment with an emphasis
on a strong sense of family. Leaders hired at Driftwood are teachers to
psychologists and help facilitate a daily theme for each summer day during
the eight-weeks the camp is in operation. With facilities located on 20 acres,
sleepaway camp options in a day camp model are available. Chanting and
cheering among campers are heard throughout the day. Summer fun is
close by at Driftwood as age-specific programs are inclusive of all abilities.

HERRILL LANES
Herrill Lanes is an all-ages bowling alley serving New Hyde Park
for over 40 years and features a weekly rock ‘n’ roll bowl as well as
delicious pub grub to enjoy with each frame. A variety of leagues for
mixed, senior, ladies, juniors and adult/child allows for everyone to
enjoy the lanes. Regardless of someone’s skill in bowling, fun is always
guaranteed whenever children, teens, adults and professionals come
to Herrill Lanes. The venue offers 36 lanes, a full-service pro shop and
even an arcade. Moreover, every Saturday after 10:30pm, Herrill Lanes
offers the beautiful and mesmerizing Cosmic Bowl — which makes
the bowling experience even more special due to atmospheric lighting.
