a chill has entered the air signaling that
fall has taken hold. Not sure where to

Whether you’re looking for a cozy environment
or a hearty meal, here’s a list of
restaurants to visit this fall:
Rove — 72-27 Austin St., Forest Hills
With hardwood paneling and warm,
vintage Edison light bulbs, Rove is a picture
of warmth. Rove off ers dishes like
pan-seared salmon with squash and zucchini,
shepherd’s pie and a variety of
soups to get you into fall food.
Ok Lah! — Queens Crossing, 136-20
38th Ave., Flushing
Ok Lah! is a great place to grab a quick
bite loaded with house-picked vegetables.
Ok Lah! also off ers roasted meats, rice
noodles, stews and soups.
Crescent Grill — 38-40 Crescent St.,
Long Island City
Crescent Grill serves up locally and sustainably
sourced food straight from farm
to table. Rabbit, duck, ribeye and bonein
pork chops are just a few of the hearty
meals Crescent Grill has to off er.
Sugar Freak — 37-11 30th Ave., Astoria
Sugar Freak has warm chandeliers shining
down on rustic furnishings. Sugar
Freak dishes up classic New Orleans fare
including oysters, okra, collard greens and
specialty mac ‘n’ cheese.
LIC Market — 21-52 44th Dr., Long
Island City
With hardwood tables that look like
they were cut straight from the forest and
trees on the walls, the LIC Market is a
prime fall dining location. Th ey off er rustic
plates loaded with vegetables, herbs
and butter.
HinoMaru Ramen — 33-18 Ditmars
Blvd., Astoria
HinoMaru is a ramen bar that off ers
seven regional types of ramen. Th ey off er
spicy ramen with chicken, pork or fi sh
broths, topped with a hearty helping of
vegetables, and a miso that contains over
30 ingredients.
Mac Shack — 168-18 Jamaica Ave.,
Jamaica
Mac Shack has over a dozen delicious,
warm styles of mac ‘n’ cheese, including
several named aft er specifi c parts of
Queens. Check out the Woodside, which
has monterey jack, cheddar cheese and
barbecue sauce, or try the Far Rockaway
which has sauteed shrimp, queso blanco,
gouda and parmesan cheese.
