Thousands of Queens residents gathered in Flushing
Meadows Corona Park on Oct. 21 for the annual Making
Strides Against Breast Cancer walk. The event raised thousands
of dollars for the American Cancer Society in its
eff orts to help breast cancer survivors and research the
disease. The walk coincided with the national observation
of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.
