As any appraiser will attest, stripping the original finish from an antique can decrease its value tremendously. Quality restoration services will be aware of this and take steps to preserve the original finish during the restoration work. Keeping furniture in good condition is part of maintaining a home. You wouldn’t overlook a broken baluster on your stairway, so why overlook the sagging cushions on your sofa? Considering repairing your sofa, particularly if you love it so or are short on cash. In an economy that continues to struggle, the purchase of new furniture may not be an option for everyone.
