HANAC WEATHERIZATION BID
The Hellenic American Neighborhood Action Committee Inc. (HANAC) will be bidding
out the work for the 2018-2019 Program Year DOE/PVE and HEAP contracts.
HANAC INC. is a non-profit community based organization, which provides
weatherization services in small and multiple dwelling buildings in the Northern Queens
area. The Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) is funded by U.S Department of
Energy and U.S Department of Health and Human Services, and is administered and
funded locally by NYS Home and Community Renewal (HCA)
HANAC Inc. is seeking experienced
contractors to perform weatherization work
and related services. The general contracting
work included but is not limited to: Window
repairs and replacement, lighting upgrades,
blown-in insulation, vent cleaning/installation,
Air sealing, weather-stripping, caulking, door replacement, pipe insulation, roof repairs.
Sub-contractors will be working on small homes, 1-4 Units and multi-families 5 Units
and up.
Sub-contractors should be aware that weatherization services will be performed on
small unit homes (1 to 4) are subject to pre and post blower door testing. HANAC Inc.
encourages active participation of minority and women owned business (MWBE) and
service-disabled veteran owned business (SDVOB).
