Tom Grech, President & CEO of the Queens Chamber of Commerce held the celebration of Irish
history at Terrace on the Park in Flushing, Queens. Borough President Melinda Katz attended the
luncheon and introduced the keynote speaker, James Patrick O’Neill, Police Commissioner of the
City of New York. The presentation of colors by NYPD Community Affairs Bureau Post #3100.
Benediction by Rev. William Hoppe, Pastor, Roman Catholic Church of St. Leo, Corona, NY; and
David Stanton T.D., Minister for Equality Immigration & Integration came from Ireland to celebrate
St. Patrick’s Day with the Queens Chamber of Commerce. Live music provided by the band Brogue
with authentic food and Irish step dancing courtesy of Fitzpatrick Academy of Irish Dance. They
performed to a full house of business executives and members of the community.
