Astrological signs and
their traits fascinate me
on many levels. Mine is
Pisces and strange to me, every
important man in my life is a
Capricorn. Is it a coincidence?
If you were born between
February 19 and March 20, you
are a Pisces and I’ve learned
there are traits that fit me to a tee.
When I searched the internet
to check on the traits of Pisces,
it said, “Strengths are compassion,
artistic, intuitive, gentle,
wise and musical and the likes
are: being alone sleeping, music,
romance, visual media, swimming,
spiritual themes.”
Some of the listings made my
eyes widen. I swim every day
and do love being near the water.
Pisces is, after all, the water sign.
Interestingly, it also is a sign that
is never judgmental and always
forgiving, known to be the most
tolerant of all the zodiac signs.
This past week, I had the joy
of celebrating with my Pisces
brethren, both family members
and friends. It became clearer
to me that their loving, positive
attitudes enrich my life.
It was a special lunch at Marco
Polo in Brooklyn to share with
Ingrid Lewis-Martin, a truly
bright, warm, caring and compassionate
person, who has her
birthday on February 28. Judge
Sylvia Ash joined us. Her birthday
is in August and she is a
Leo, and her compassion comes
through everyday in her courtroom.
My daughter-in-law Tracey,
the mother of my handsome,
loving grandchildren Hudson
and stunning, smart Sloane,
has her birthday just days before
mine as does Blake, my darling,
loving 12-year-Another is Long banker Tsunis, CEO

Then dear friend
Victor Gartenstein

friends his landmark
birthday (I never
reveal ages in adults) at Tiro A

village near NYU that is

Here’s one of the chapter
inspirational quotes
that she wrote that
touched me :
“There comes a time in all our
lives when it’s time to take stock
of what was, what is, and what
can be. Don’t hold onto
stuff that prevents you
from becoming who
you can be.”
It’s also fascinating
to me that
every important
man in my life has
been a Capricorn.
It started with my
father Martin, then my
husband Murray;
then Nat, my fiancé, who
died a week before our wedding;
and then my late husband
Stu. I guess I’m attracted to men
in this sign whose strengths a sense of responsibility, discipline,
respect for family and tradition,
and being a good manager,
traits they all shared.
“Black Panther”
Not To Be Missed
To top off a weekend of
birthday celebrations,
I decided to see the
much feted and financial blow
out success “Black Panther.”
I had heard so many good
reviews about it, I was curious
to see it myself.
The powerful and fascinating
story was remarkably
acted. The cinematically
superb production boasted
costuming and a storyline
made me laugh, gasp and even
cry. It’s everything you can
want in superb entertainment.
As the reviewer Manohla
Dargis wrote in the New
York Times, “it would not be
a Marvel production without
manly skirmishes and digital
avatars. Yet in its emphasis
on black imagination, creation
and liberation the movie
becomes an emblem of a past
that was denied and a future
that feels very present and in
so doing opens up its world
and yours, beautifully.” Strong
women abound throughout
the story and scenes of fantasy
will capture your imagination.
Run, do not walk to see this
dramatic movie on the big
screen to get the full pleasure
of the powerful production.
