Colors of Lunar New Year fi ll the streets of Flushing
Th ousands celebrated the “Year of the
Pig” during the annual Lunar New Year
Parade through Downtown Flushing on Feb.
9. Sponsored in part by the Greater Flushing
Chamber of Commerce, numerous elected
offi cials and dignitaries participated in the
march along with a litany of dragon dancers,
marching bands and local groups representing
Asian communities across Queens.
