John P. Bues

John P. Bues is a senior
associate at the Firm with extensive
experience in real estate, banking,
construction, and corporate
transactions and litigation. Mr.
Bues has represented clients in
numerous complex matters,
including commercial lending and
financing, contract disputes,
mortgage and lien foreclosure
actions, mortgage workouts, bar
claim actions, title disputes,
corporate shareholder disputes,
corporate dissolution proceedings,
insurance coverage actions,
property damage claims arising out
of construction projects, and
landlord-tenant proceedings. Mr.
Bues has successfully tried
numerous jury and non-jury cases
to verdict and has succeeded in
upholding trial verdicts on appeal.
In addition to litigation, Mr.
Bues also represents institutional
and individual clients in real estate
closings, lease negotiations,
business asset transactions, SBA
financing, and the purchase and
sale of franchises.
Mr. Bues also handles general
corporate and commercial matters
regarding entity formation, the
purchase and sale of shareholder,
partnership and membership
interests, and dissolutions.
Mr. Bues is on the Board of
Directors for the Cleary School for
the Deaf. He is a frequent lecturer
on real estate topics and has been
selected as a Ones to Watch by the
Long Island Business News.
He is admitted to the New York
State Bar, the New Jersey State Bar
and the United States District
Court for the Eastern and
Southern Districts of New York.
He is a graduate of Western New
England College School of Law
(1997) and received his B.A. from
Elmira College (1994).
