Chiarenza, 19, was alone when he fell on a steep incline, and was later discovered by residents of the area. Family members and teachers at his former high school, as well as Swarthmore President Valerie Smith, mourned his death in released statements. ARGUMENT LEAVES TWO MEN SHOT OUTSIDE BAYSIDE HOUSE PARTY Two men were shot after an apparent verbal dispute at a house party in a Bayside residents rented out for the event. The two male victims — aged 23 and 27 — were walking outside the home when the gunman approached them and opened fire. They were both struck both in the torso, with one victim suffering life-threatening injuries. Queens residents were full of hope and pride as they watched their home team play, and the borough president led a massive rally to support the team as it sailed toward its third World Championship. The dream quickly died, however, when the team later lost the fifth game of the series to the Kansas City Royals.
