Some L Trains Make Last Stop In R’wood Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues will be the last stop for alternate L trains from Manhattan on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 20-21, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. For Canarsie-bound service, transfer between L trains at Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues to continue the trip. It was noted that trains will operate every 12 minutes between Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues and Canarsie-Rockaway Parkway. Station Renewal Affects A Train The Manhattan-bound platforms at the 88th Street and 104th Street A train stations in Ozone Park remain closed through January 2015 for repairs related to the MTA’s station renewal program. For service to these stations, take the A train to 80th Street, then transfer to an Ozone Park-bound or a Far Rockaway-bound A train. For service from these stations, take the A train to Rockaway Boulevard or 111th Street, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound A train. For Flushing-bound service to the skipped stations, take the 7 train to Woodside-61st Street or 74th Street, then transfer to a Queensboro Plaza-bound 7 train. For service from these stops, take the 7 train to Queensboro Plaza, then transfer to a Flushing-bound 7 train. Free shuttle buses will replace 7 trains in Long Island City between Queensboro Plaza and Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue. These trains will also stop at Queens Plaza for ADAaccessible connections to the E and R lines. The shuttle buses will stop as follows: • Queensboro Plaza—on Queens Plaza South at 27th Street; • Queens Plaza—on 42nd Road at Jackson Avenue; • Court Square-23rd Street— on Jackson Avenue at 45th Avenue (to Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue) or at Thomson Avenue (to Queensboro Plaza); • Hunters Point Avenue—on 21st Street at 49th Avenue; and • Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue—on Vernon Boulevard at 50th Avenue. Additionally, Flushing-bound 7 trains will skip the 33rd Street, 40th Street, 46th Street, 52nd Sunday Service For Thanksgiving Day New York City Transit subways and buses and MTA Bus Company lines will operate a Sunday schedule on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 27. Riders are advised to plan their trips accordingly. Additionally, the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) will provide extra eastbound trains out of Penn Station on Wednesday, Nov. 26, for those leaving work early to start the Thanksgiving holiday. More Disruptions Affect The 7 Train There will be no 7 train service between Queensboro Plaza and Times Square-42nd Street this weekend, from 11:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, until 4:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 24. During this disruption period, Manhattan-bound 7 trains will operate normally between Flushing-Main Street and Queensboro Plaza, but Flushingbound 7 trains will skip the 33rd Street, 40th Street, 42nd Street, 52nd Street and 69th Street stops. As alternate service, Q trains will run to Astoria-Ditmars -SEE TRANSIT ON PG. 54- TRAFFIC NEWS and Updates New York City Department Of Transportation eastbound to be closed at all times between 128th and 134th streets. All existing traffic lanes will remain open and are shifted to the left.L ane Closures On Grand Central Pkwy. One lane of the Grand Central Parkway in each direction will be closed between 82nd and 111th streets on weekdays from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. and 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. on weekdays. Lane closures will also take place from 10 p.m. Fridays to 7 a.m. Saturdays and from 10 p.m. Saturdays to 3 p.m. Sundays. Two lanes of traffic in each direction may be closed on weeknights from 12:01 until 5 a.m., Saturdays from 1 to 6 a.m. and Sundays from 1 to 9 a.m. Sewer Work Leads To Pkwy. Closures One of three lanes of the Belt Parkway between Cross Bay Boulevard and 194th Street in either direction may be closed on weekdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and weeknights 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Additionally, two of three -SEE TRAFFIC ON PG. 54- No Street Cleaning Thanksgiving Day Alternate-side parking rules and meter regulations will be suspended on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 27.
