Nothing stops the fun at the
Glendale Halloween Parade
Despite the tragic events that
unfolded in Manhattan earlier
in the day, the Glendale Halloween
Parade went on as planned on
Tuesday night, Oct. 31. Offi cers from
the 104th Precinct and members of the
104th Precinct Civilian Observation
Patrol helped keep things safe for the
trick-or-treaters and other costumed
spectators who paraded down Myrtle
Avenue. The annual march, hosted
by the Kiwanis Club of Glendale, is
regarded as one of the city’s oldest
Halloween parades. The festivities
included a costume contest held in
the parking lot of the Stop and Shop
supermarket at the corner of Myrtle
Avenue and Cypress Hills Street.
