Robber fi ghts
victim over $6
in Ridgewood

A robbery suspect is still at
large after pulling out a
box cutter and getting into a
fi ght with his victim in Ridgewood.
According to police, the crime took
place on Aug. 19 at the Halsey Street
station of the L train where the male
suspect confronted a 51-year-old man
at approximately 8:30 p.m.
The suspect then pulled out the
sharp instrument and demanded
money from the victim, police said.
The victim attempted to remove the
box cutter form the suspect, police
added, but sustained a minor laceration
to his hand.
Sources familiar with the investigation
said that the suspect got away
with just $6 from the victim.
Offi cers from the 104th Precinct
responded to the incident and the
victim refused medical treatment,
authorities said.
The precinct also released surveillance
photos of the alleged suspect on
its Twitter account.
