Born in Queens to Wayne Schultz and Norma Hernandez, he grew up playing sports and making friends in Middle Village. Passionate about football, he was a longtime member of the Queens Falcons. Jonathan brought his football talent to Lawrence Academy, where he spent three years and earned his diploma in 2008, winning a graduation award for academic growth. As a linebacker, he helped his team earn a post-season bowl appearance and was loved and admired by his teammates. After graduating, Jonathan attended American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts, working toward a business degree. Jonathan was known for his big heart and his willingness to defend those who could not defend themselves. He will be missed by his loving parents, his son Donovan Schultz, his sisters Nicole Schultz, Stephanie Smith and Melissa Schultz, and his brothers Ryan Schultz and Christian Schultz. He also leaves behind several other relatives and countless friends from his neighborhood, coaches and teammates. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Saturday, April 16, at Our Lady of Hope Church, Middle Village, followed by interment at St. John Cemetery, Middle Village. +++ RAYMOND J. HEALEY died on Sunday, April 17, at the age of 65. He was the beloved father of Melissa Marrero, cherished grandfather of Alexis and Brandon, loving brother of Eileen and Frank Schmidt and Margaret and William Browne and a dear uncle and great-uncle to many. He was a U.S. Navy veteran who served during the Vietnam War.
