This family owned and operated business was founded in 1992. Since its initial conception, the focus of the owners of this business has remained to showcase the authentic flavors of Italian culture, using recipes handed down by their families several generations ago. The ingredients used in preparing the meals sets a substantial foundation causing the restaurant to beam. Using only the freshest and natural ingredients produces a homemade touch to every dish. Pizza Classica 89-89 Union Turnpike, Glendale, NY 11385 (inside Stop n Shop shopping center) 718-847-5001 Pizza Classica was established in 2003 in a small location on Francis Lewis Blvd., Bayside. We quickly became popular for our fine homestyle Italian cooking and catering. In 2007, we opened our 2,000-square foot flagship location in Glendale with hopes of providing our customers the best quality food and service. Our business flourished speedily as our primary focus has remained to deliver the finest quality food and service a business could offer. With support from our community and loyal customers, we proudly expanded our location to 4,000 square feet. This accomplishment was achieved by renovating the location from the kitchen to the patio entirely in 2013. We remain utterly grateful for the success that we have attained, and extend major appreciations to those who contributed in one way or another. The passion to constantly grow and better serve our guests will keep us motivated to continually take Pizza Classica to greater levels. Joe and John’s 59-10 Myrtle Ave., Ridgewood (718) 497-0078   Joe and John›s, a pizzeria restaurant established in 1968, had been owned and operated by two brother-in-laws for almost 48 years. Time came for them to find another to manage the business. My partner James Lizzul and I, Salvatore Pinto, have taken  over the business from my father’s longtime friend and original owner, Giovanni (John) Mistretta. We have successfully renovated the entire store and are now ready to embark on a lifetime dream of owning our own pizzeria restaurant. We have both been in the pizzeria business for a combined 20 years total. We quickly fell in love with the space, the people and the neighborhood. We are aware that the neighborhood is changing rapidly and are exultant to be a part of the ride. Our main purpose is to delightedly provide the best pizzas to the  patrons we serve. We were born and raised in Queens and are happy to embark in the next journey life has brought us, right here in our own backyard of Ridgewood.
