73. She was the wife of the late Samuel
Lapolla, loving mother of Joseph
Lapolla, Ralph and Hilda Lapolla,
and Doreen and Matthew Astarita,
cherished grandmother of Ashley
and Brooke, dearest sister of Donald
Martin and the late Desie Martin, and
sister-in-law of Grace and Donald Pagnozzi.
She is also survived by many
loving nieces, nephews, cousins and

will be off ered at 10:30 a.m. this morning,
Thursday, March 1, at Transfi guration

interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery,

Gomez, loving father of Jose Gomez,

Friday, February 16, at the age of 65.
She was the beloved wife of Luis Fernandes
and loving sister of Bernard
Pavon, Josephine Pavon and Irene
Yepez. She was also a cherished aunt
of many loving nieces and nephews.

memorial service held on Sunday,

of 90. He was the husband of the late
Frances Puya, loving father of Deborah
Michal, Albert Puya, Philip Puya
and Kathie Ficeto, father-in-law of Ed
and Joe, cherished grandfather of
Joseph, Matthew, Ryan, Daniel, Jason
and Ian, great-grandfather of Jackson,
Hayden, Colton and Hunter and dear
brother of Rose Vetrano, Louis Puya
and Catherine Lazzaro. He was a U.S.
Army veteran who served during
the Korean Confl ict. Services were

at Calverton National Cemetery,
Calverton, NY.

died on Monday, February 12,
at the age of 84. A native of Ilva Mare,
Romania, she was the wife of the late
Pantelimon Cailean and devoted
mother of Sabina Cailean, Sabin
Cailean and Ioan Cailean. She is also
survived by six grandchildren and
one great-grandchild. Services were
