Father: Cremation and placement in a Columbarium niche is the way your mother and I wish to keep these memories alive. Your mother and I recently toured the historic U.S. Columbarium at Fresh Pond Crematory. You should see it. Grand Terazzo floors and beautiful niches adorned with Tiffany style stained glass. It’s magnificent. We were so impressed that we made our prearrangements so that you don’t have to during your time of grief. Daughter: What exactly is a columbarium? Father: It’s a building where cremated remains are memorialized with honor. Daughter: How is it different from a cemetery? Father: Well, to begin with, visiting the glass front niche and viewing the beautiful urns has a more personal and close feeling. Daughter: Father, I can certainly appreciate that feeling. Father: Besides, being indoors & temperature controlled and all, it’s perfect for us. You can visit anytime, no matter the weather. 61-40 MOUNT OLIVET CRESCENT | MIDDLE VILLAGE, NY 11379 is a F h ’ b ld h d
