The nonprofit organization advocates for persons in the Asian and Pacific American communities in the Long Island area and participates in a variety of charitable and volunteer endeavors. Name Day party at Terrace on the Park was a real smash PHOTOS BY JOSEF PINLAC There was plenty to celebrate during the annual “Name Day” celebration that Demetrios “Jimmy” Kaloidis hosted at his Terrace on the Park in Flushing on Oct. 26. The annual party follows the Greek tradition of celebrating the feast day of the saint for whom they are named. Hundreds of friends and admirers gathered together to celebrate with Demertrios, his wife Georgia and their family, enjoying an evening of fine food, music and entertainment. Ling Xu joins Flushing Bank as manager of its Kissena branch. She has 11 years of prior retail banking experience and recently served as financial center manager for Bank of America. John Siu, the new vice president and branch manager of the 144-51 Northern Blvd. branch, previously served as manager of the Roosevelt Avenue branch and returns after most recently serving as manager of TD Bank; he has been in the banking industry for more than 20 years. Cathy Hui Liu Luk joins Flushing Bank as vice president and manager of its Forest Hills branch; with more than 15 years of banking experience, she recently served as vice president and senior premier relationship manager at HSBC. Finally, Smitha Lukose-Khan was welcomed as manager of Flushing Bank’s Astoria branch. For the past 4 1/2 years, she served as financial center manager for Bank of America in the Brooklyn and Queens markets.
