Offi cers from the 107th Precinct discovered 61-year-old Huizhen Zhan inside her apartment on 65th Avenue near Parsons Boulevard at 7:15 p.m. on the night of Aug. 1. She was found lying face up on a bed in the basement, unconscious and unresponsive. Paramedics pronounced her dead on the scene. Her body was transported to the Offi ce of the Chief Medical Examiner who determined the cause of her death as homicide. According to Daily News, detectives observed superfi cial cuts to her head, arm and face, but the autopsy determined that it was a blow in the head that killed her. The outlet spoke with a police source who said the killer covered her face with a pillow, and then draped a sheet over the pillow. An investigation is ongoing. 109TH PRECINCT Second pedophile from Flushing’s Bowne Playground is arrested and charged After last month’s series of pedophile attacks at Bowne Playground in Flushing, police confi rmed that both men have been arrested and charged for their dirty deeds. Police reported yesterday that they arrested Queens resident Zuomin Wang, 60. Last Thursday, July 14, at around 8 p.m. at Bowne Playground located near the northeast corner of Sanford Avenue and Union Street, Wang allegedly approached an 8-year-old boy who was accompanied by his mother in the park. Cops say he lifted the boy up while grabbing and squeezing the his chest. The boy’s mother confronted the suspect and snapped a photo of him using her smartphone. Wang was charged with acting in a manner injurious to a child less than 17. The most recent incident at Bowne Playground took place on Wednesday, July 20. Soloman Hudgins, 24, allegedly sexually abused a 12-yearold girl. Hudgins allegedly jumped on the child and wrongfully touched her. Prosecutors said that the girl attempted to push the pedophile away, but Hudgins pulled at her clothing, opened her shorts and sexually abused her. When the girl tried to use her iPhone to call for help, Hudgins reportedly grabbed the phone and earbuds out of her hand and yanked off her shoes. He allegedly stole two packs of cigarettes from the girl before running off. However, Hudgins dropped his wallet and the victim took it straight to the police who later slapped the suspect with first-degree sexual abuse, third-degree robbery as well as endangering the welfare of a child. 115TH PRECINCT Bicycle bandit has snatched 12 smartphones in Corona and Jackson Heights, police say Police are looking for a man who has been using his bicycle to snatch items from passersby in Corona and Jackson Heights since June. Beginning on June 25 at 11 p.m., the suspect rode his bike near a home at Elmhurst Avenue and 92nd Street when he stole an iPhone 6 Plus from a 45-year-old woman’s hand. He fl ed northbound on 92nd Street toward 37th Avenue. The next day, at 2:30 a.m., the suspect rode past a residence at 92nd Street and 37th Avenue and snatched an iPhone 6 from a 36-year-old male’s pocket. He then fl ed toward Roosevelt Avenue. On July 8 at 11:10 p.m., the suspect approached a 46-year-old male standing near 37th Avenue and 99th Street and stole his iPhone 5 from his hand before fl eeing on foot. Two days later at 11:10 p.m., the suspect rode by 94-35 37th Ave. and snatched an iPhone 6 Plus from the back pocket of a 29-year-old male. The victim kicked the back tire of the bicycle causing the suspect to drop the phone. The victim recovered the phone while the suspect fled toward 95th Street. On July 16 at 4:30 a.m., on the northwest corner of 37th Avenue and Junction Boulevard, the suspect approached a 31-year-old male from behind and snatched his iPhone 6S. The suspect struck again on July 17 when, at 4:30 a.m., he rode past a 19-year-old male at 35th Avenue and 93rd Street and snatched his Samsung Galaxy S 7 Edge from his hand. On July 18 at 1:00 a.m., the suspect rode passed 37th Avenue and 74th Street, where he snatched an iPhone from a 65-year-old male. On July 20 at 1:30 a.m. in front of 95-11 Roosevelt Avenue, the suspect rode his bicycle past the victim, a 34-year-old male, and snatched his Samsung Galaxy Note 3 from his hand. The suspect fled northbound on 95th Street and 37th Street. Two days later, on July 22, the suspect rode past 37th Avenue and Warren Street at 11 p.m. and snatched a Samsung Galaxy S 7 Edge from a 24-year-old male’s hand. He fled eastbound on 37th Avenue. On July 28 at 11: 35 p.m., the suspect rode passed a 43-year-old male on the corner of 104th Street and 37th Avenue, and snatched his Samsung Galaxy 6H from his hand. The suspect fled westbound on 37th Avenue. On July 29 at 7:10 p.m., in front of 72-12 Northern Blvd., the victim rode a bicycle rode past the victim, a 46-year-old male, and snatched his Samsung Note 4 from his hand. The unidentified male fled southbound on 74th Street. One day later, on July 30, the suspect rode his bicycle in front of 34-23 103rd St. at 1:10 a.m. and stole a Samsung Galaxy Edge 6 from a 30-year-old male. He then fled toward Roosevelt Avenue. No one was injured during these incidents, police said.
