May 11, 2015.) Dr. Eliza Yaghoubian, an optometrist, is now seeing patients at North Shore Queens Eye Medicine in Little Neck. Dr. Yaghoubian provides primary eye care, including the diagnosis, treatment and management of ocular conditions and vision changes. She performs eye exams to detect disease, and as well as exams for eyeglasses and contact lenses. Dr. Yaghoubian, who grew up in Forest Hills, sees patients of all ages. “I’m delighted to provide eye care to the Queens community in this convenient location,” she said. “My goal is to put patients at ease and make sure they are comfortable during their eye exam.” After four years of specialized training, Dr. Yaghoubian received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the State University of New York College of Optometry in 2006. She went on to complete a residency at the Northport Veterans Affairs Medical Center on Long Island, where she specialized in ocular disease, low vision, vision rehabilitation and vision therapy. Prior to her optometry training, she received of Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Queens College. In addition to English, Dr. Yaghoubian speaks both Spanish and Farsi. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a member of the New York State Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association and the Sephardic American Medical Society.
