Photo courtesy of The Grand Healthcare System New stroke center opens in Whitestone The Grand Healthcare System has opened The Walter Strauss Stroke Center, a dedicated wing for individuals recovering from strokes, at The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at Queens on 19th Avenue in Whitestone. More than 150 people attended the ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony with members of the media, local dignitaries, community leaders and representatives from regional hospitals. Guests joined with the facility’s owner and professional healthcare staff, who conducted tours of the rehabilitation area, state-of-theart equipment and the 12-bed wing at the Whitestone facility.
