Feinstein will perform his original music along with his critically acclaimed interpretations of legends such as Irving Berlin, Jerome Kern, Johnny Mercer, Duke Ellington and Harry Warren. Starting at 8 p.m., an original multi-media musical paying tribute to the borough of Queens will take place at Free Synagogue of Flushing, located at 41-60 Kissena Boulevard. “Let’s Hear it for Queens” will be directed by Paul L. Johnson, with Amanda Montoni providing the choreography. The show tells the story of the borough’s evolution from the early 1600s through the present, with highlights including a salute to some of the world-famous entertainers with roots in Queens, a series of monologues that bring to life memories of several individuals who remember what Queens was like way back when, and a special tribute to the Free Synagogue of Flushing Community Theatre Group, celebrating its own 40th anniversary this season.
