Most of her education was completed there, including a bachelor’s degree in education. She came to America in 2000 and as started a career, but soon realized she needed a degree in business. DeVry University and its Keller Graduate School of Management offered her the opportunity to pursue her educational goals while working full time. “It is a great privilege for me to be one of over 250,000 DeVry University alumni,” said Litescu. “The education I received at DeVry University and its Keller Graduate School of Management was the key to building the foundation for my success and I have had countless opportunities to apply it in the real world.” Mary Ng Small Business Banker Bank of America Mary Ng is currently a Small Business Banker with Bank of America. Previously, she was a successful business banker with HSBC for several years. Loved and respected by her colleagues and clients, she was always efficient and reliable. Branching throughout the Asian community of Flushing and Chinatown she was able to help the community with the growth of their business ventures. As an Asian American, she has been able to help Asian immigrants to successfully cultivate their businesses. Through Ng’s long-time experience in New York’s Asian community, she has been able to connect many small business owners to build partnerships that have helped through the hardships of owning businesses. Michelle Stoddart Director of Public Relations and Community Development Resorts World Casino New York City Michelle Stoddart is the director of public relations and community development for Resorts World Casino New York City (RWNY). She was a member of the executive team that handled record-breaking attendance during the Casino’s debut weekend in October 2011. In her role, Stoddart coordinates public relations and social media messaging, and she’s responsible for the implementation of community outreach and for charitable giving. Prior to her position with RWNY, Stoddart was the director of marketing & tourism for the Queens Economic Development Corporation (QEDC) where she was charged with the research, development, and execution of projects that promoted business and new neighborhood revitalization in Queens County. During her tenure, Stoddart initiated and enhanced several significant projects that directly contributed to QEDC’s growth and prominence throughout the borough and beyond. She made Queens’ tourism digitally relevant by spearheading the renovation of DiscoverQueens.info, the first NYC county based tourism website, which has logged over two million visitors since going live in 2003. She also experienced success with Queens Restaurant Week - a two-week event intended to promote dining establishments in the borough - increasing restaurant participation from 30 to 120 and making it a major fundraiser. Stoddart’s most significant achievement while at QEDC was the evolution of the organization’s flagship fundraiser, Queens--“A Taste of the World.” Through stellar marketing plans and strategic partnerships with companies such as Citi Field, Delta Airlines, and Expedia, Stoddart helped to build the annual food festival from a 300-person event to more than 1,200 attendees over a six-year span. In 2009, the “Queens Taste” became the first non-sporting event to be held at Citi Field, the new home of the New York Mets; in that same year the event attracted the city’s most distinguished resident, Mayor Michael Bloomberg. Dr. Mahshid Arfania Assadi Internal Medicine/Cardiology St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital, Columbia University Dr. Mahshid Arfania Assadi is an internist/ cardiologist practicing in New York City, affiliated with St. Luke’s- Roosevelt University Hospital and Columbia University. She obtained her medical degree from Faculty of Medicine, Tehran University, followed by a diploma of internal medicine specialty at Metropolitan Hospital/New York Medical College and later a diploma of cardiology subspecialty at New York State University. Assadi also received the title of F.A.C.P. (Fellow of American College of Physicians) and F.A.A.C. (Fellow of American Academy of Cardiology). She has been a member of several medical societies such as; American College of Cardiology, American College of Physicians, American Heart Association, New York Cardiology Society, American College of Chest Physicians, American Federation of Clinical Research, American Medical Association, New York Academy of Science, North American Society of Pacing and Electrophysiology, New York State Medical Society and American Academy of University Women. In addition to the practice of medicine, she has been involved with a few non for profit organizations such as the Persian Parade Foundation, Cyrus the Great International Open Academy and the University of Mehrafarin, which represent the education, traditional and cultural aspects of Persian heritage.
