Kenneth Connolly, 50, is suspected to have broken into 12 diff erent commercial establishments that were just blocks away from each other in the Auburndale section of the neighborhood, within the confi nes of the 109th and 111th Precincts, and taking an undetermined amount of cash from each building over the course of 10 days. Th e fi rst incident occurred on Jan. 15. At 7 a.m. that day, according to police, Connolly allegedly entered an establishment located at 171-67 46th Ave. through the back door. Once inside, he took an undetermined amount of money from a cash register. Th e second incident took place on Jan. 17. Police said that Connolly allegedly entered a laundromat located at 192- 19 47th Ave. through a vent in the back of the building. Once he was inside, he broke into a cash register and stole an undetermined amount of cash. Law enforcement sources said Connolly allegedly committed three burglaries in a span of a few hours on Jan. 20, breaking into B&J Cleaners (172-18 46th Ave.) and Moon Star Chinese Restaurant (172- 16 46th Ave.) through the window. Once inside, he took money from the register before leaving. Seven more burglaries took place between Jan. 22 and Jan. 25. In those capers, Connolly is said to have broken into each location through a back door, window or vent (or in one case, busting through an adjacent wall) and stolen an undetermined amount of money from the businesses. On Friday, Jan. 6, at 9:30 a.m., an unidentifi ed individual wearing a white Tyvek suit parked a Mercedes Benz in the driveway of a home in the vicinity of 15th Drive and 208th Place — within the confi nes of the 109th Precinct — and entered the residence through an unlocked back door. Once inside, the burglar removed a safe containing approximately $200,000 and jewelry. Th e suspect is described as a male last seen wearing a white Tyvek suit, which is a heavy-duty, protective coverall normally used by construction workers when handling hazardous material.
