LOOK AT WHAT’S GOING ON AT NST!
TENNIS & PICKLE BALL
Country Club members can take out their rackets once again to enjoy
a game of tennis daily from 8am until 3pm (singles only; reservations
required). The Pickle Ball court is also open; make your reservation on
BuildingLink.
WHAT ABOUT THE KIDS?
Worried that little ones might get bored? Fear not! Aside from chilling in
the pool, NST’s playground—which is thoroughly scrubbed and sanitized
on a regular basis—is open for business so kids can get out and do their
thing. And don’t forget about the basketball court, which is ready to go.
Tips for Exercising Outdoors
NST resident and certified personal trainer Cari
Heiman offers some helpful tips for how to safely
exercise during these difficult times. Thanks, Cari!
As we all know, exercise is good for you, both
physically and mentally.
During the pandemic, choose exercises that allow
you to maintain appropriate distance from other peo-ple,
such as walking, hiking, biking, tennis, pickle
ball and golf.
Try and choose a time of day when it’s less crowded.
Early mornings or late afternoons are usually good,
with the added benefit that it’s a little cooler than
other times of day.
If you’re using equipment such as weights, mats
and exercise bands, make sure to clean and disinfect
them before and after each use.
Wash your hands before and after activities and
do not touch your face.
We all know wearing masks is stifling at times, but
wearing a mask is the most effective way to prevent
spreading germs. Be sure to have one at hand so you
can “mask up” whenever necessary.
Be sure to follow all NST health guidelines that
have been announced.
So get outside, enjoy the sunshine and start moving
your body! Most of all, stay safe!
THE POOL
The outdoor pool is now
officially open, where you
can have a relaxing afternoon
lounging and taking a dip or
swimming a few laps to cool
off. It’s refreshing, and a great
way to get some exercise.

PLEASE NOTE
It’s important to check the
required guidelines for all activ-ities
before you set out. The uni-versal
rules are (a) the wearing
of face coverings and (b) main-taining
a 6-foot social distance.
However, there are other rules
that apply to different activities,
so call the Country Club (718-
428-3030) for specific informa-tion
about the activity in which
you are interested.
