HADASSAH BOOK CLUB TO DISCUSS “BOOK OF ARON” Lead by Bern Rosenthal and Arlene Augenbraun, the Migdal/Hadassah’s Book Club will discuss “The Book of Aron” by Jim Shepard on Wednesday, July 20 at 2 p.m. in the Coleridge Lounge. “The Book of Aron” tells the story of a 13-year old Jewish country boy driven into the Warsaw Ghetto, where he loses his family, becomes homeless, endures terror and brutality and is rescued by Dr. Janus Korczak, who was a real life figure in the Ghetto. This compelling novel was an American Library Association Notable Book in 2015 and has also won several awards. What some of the reviewers have said about the book: “A story of such startling candor about the complexity of heroism, that it challenges each of us to greater courage.” Afternoon DelightBy 14 North Shore Towers Courier n July 2016 Summer has finally arrived; the barometer has risen, the flowers are blooming, the snow birds have returned and the Sunset Grill is officially open.
