The Migdal Chapter of Hadassah at North Shore Towers…
Hadassah Spring Luncheon and Card Party
On Thursday, June 7, the Migdal Chapter
of Hadassah at North Shore Towers
will host its popular Annual Luncheon
and Card Party. Lunch will be served at 11:30
a.m. in Towers on the Green. Following lunch,
guests will reassemble in the Large Card Room
below the Arcade to play cards, games or just
schmooz. Additional desserts, coffee and tea
will be available to attendees downstairs.
Couvert is $45 and raffles will be sold.
Proceeds from this fundraising event will
benefit the new Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
(NICU) at Hadassah Hospital Ein Kerem,
the first of its kind in Israel. This “Special
unit treats the smallest patients,” states the
Hadassah Hospital. NICU offers lifesaving care
to babies with a range of conditions.
Flyers will be posted and registration forms
can be found in the racks on each buildings
mailroom. Single or group registration should
be paid by checks made out to Hadassah.

each building, addressed as follows:

UJA Gala celebrates Israel’s 70th and honors
NST VIPs with music, food and dancing
North Shore Towers and
UJA-Federation of New
York will celebrate Israel’s
70th birthday at Towers on the
Green on Sunday, August 5, 2018,
with an evening of music, food and
dancing. From the beginning, UJA’s
been deeply committed to ensuring
Israel’s success, ever committed to
supporting a vibrant, democratic,
Jewish state.
NST resident Eneas Arkawy,
chair of the event, invites all to
join the cocktail party and to bring
friends and family. There will be
Israeli Music and Dancing. If you
don’t know Israeli Dance, there
will be dancers there to teach you.
This special night will also feature
the honoring of two important
individuals, in recognition
of their years of service. Victoria
Schneps, publisher of the North
Shore Towers Courier, Queens
Courier, among many others,
and Founder of Senior Health
Expo, will receive UJA’s Lifetime
Achievement Award. Judy Ross
founder of North Shore Towers
Knitting Club, a group that makes
items to help those in need, will
receive the Community Service
Award.
For 100 years, UJA-Federation
has inspired New Yorkers to act
on their values and invest in their
community for the biggest impact.
UJA-Federation currently sustains
the activities of nearly 100 health,
human-service, educational, and
community-building agencies.
These community-based agencies
provide services which combat
poverty, help the elderly age with
dignity, promote Jewish identity and
renewal, strengthen children and
families, and open doors to those
with disabilities and special needs.
