consultant for the U.S. government’s Special Operations,

attended the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, and
spent over 30 years in the Navy, rising to the rank of 4-
star Admiral. Among his many commands were four years as
the 16th Supreme Allied Commander at NATO, where he oversaw operations in Afghanistan, Libya,
Syria, the Balkans, and piracy off the coast of Africa. He served as senior military assistant to the
Secretary of the Navy and the Secretary of Defense. Admiral Stavridis is the 12th Dean at The
Fletcher School, a post he assumed in 2013. • errol louis is the Political Anchor of NY1 News, where
he hosts Inside City Hall, a nightly prime-time show about New York City politics.
