Written by George Clooney and Grant Heslov. Shirley Wershba will lead a very insightful and personal discussion on this great film. Friday, February 8, 2013 Singer, Warren Schein “Great American Songbook from Broadway to the Classics” 8 PM - VIP Room Warren has been performing on stages from New York to LA for over two decades. He has played lead singing roles in many stock and Off Broadway performances. Warren is also an actor and voice-over artist for TV and Radio. He has recorded for such well known advertisers as The History Channel, Nickelodeon, WPLJ Radio, AMC, M&M’s and A&E. Wednesday, February 13th, 2013 Lecturer, Saul Silas Fahti Discussion on Nostradamus (1503-1566) 8:00 PM – VIP Room Mr. Fahti will discuss Nostradamus, publisher of the famous collection of prophecies, who captivated the world for nearly 600 years. Much of the press credits him with predicting many major world events. He will discuss his place of birth, religious background, and medical training, as well as his prophetic prediction of his own death the night before; Author of reliable Almanacs. In his 1,000 quatrains he is said to have predicted the Great Fire of London, The rise of Napoleon, Adolf Hitler, the September 11, 2001 attack on the World Trade Center, and the Mayan world’s end of December 21, 2012. Wednesday, February 20, 2013 Violin & Piano Performance by Jaimy Lynn Cohen and Co. 8 PM – VIP Room Jaimy Lynn has been a dedicated and accomplished musician for over 30 years. Some of her prominent accomplishments include playing for Presidents Ford and Carter, the London taping of Norman Lear’s, “I Love America” accompanying Barbra Streisand, recording with Sud West Funk Orchestras, W. Germany, performing for the Queen of England and the Duke of Earl. These experiences incorporated classical to jazz, swing, funk and R&B into her eclectic range of expertise. After returning to the United States, Jaimy accompanied the Jive Five, Soupy Sales, Bob Barker, Lenny CoCo and the Chimes, and countless other 19 50s artists. She has performed at The Apollo, Radio City Music Hall, Indianapolis 500 Annual Queen’s Ball, Westbury Music Hall, Buckingham Palace, country clubs, major hotels and nearly all of the prominent concert halls and cathedrals throughout Europe and the United States. Mandatory members - just update your information on the 2013 application and receive your 2013 I.D. cards. All other members can pay by check, cash, Mastercard, Visa or 9 month installment plan. Please be prepared to show your 2013 membership cards to our receptionists upon entering the club. Any member (with the exception of House Members) will receive 2 free general guest passes if they pay in full prior to February 15th. Golf members who pay in full by February 15th will receive (4) 9 hole guest passes. Members on the installment plan are not eligible to receive free passes.
