20 North Shore Towers Courier n February 2013 BY MAGGIE HAYES The Arcade is arguably one of the most popular places to spend time at the North Shore Towers, with its shining floors and countless amenities; and it is porter Fabrizio Godino that can be thanked for always keeping the bustling area clean. “The residents deserve a clean space,” said Godino. “I want to make it clean and neat, I would want it for myself, too.” Godino, 29, has been working at the Towers since 2006. He worked in Building 3 for three years, and after that has been in Building 2. He can be found Sunday through Thursday in the Arcade, working in central maintenance, working the door or just helping in any way that he can. “He is a definite asset at North Shore Towers,” said Frank Rueda, the superintendent of Building 2, and Godino’s boss. “He’s very dependable, always has a smile on his face.” During his days, Godino is vacuuming, making sure the glass windows are shining, removing garbage from the premises, and just keeping everything clean. “I’ve also learned a lot working here,” said Godino. “You learn how to interact with people, and you come to understand them more.” Rueda has worked with Godino for five years, and can confidently say that Godino is “the face of the arcade.” “It’s a very important position,” said Rueda. “He handles it very well.” It’s hard to imagine just how different the Arcade would be if Godino were not as dedicated as he is, but he does his work happily, and with ease. “It’s all for them,” he said about the residents. “It’s their home.” Fabrizio Godino VERY DEDICATED Meet Your Porter: Fabrizio Godino ANTIQUES WANTED: Buyer of Fine Arts and Antiques for Over 30 Years Careful management of your precious estate heirlooms and buying and liquidation of your estate is our top priority.
