COLLEGE FAIR HELD
The eighth annual ‘Co-op City College, Career
and Resource Fair’ was held at M.S.
180 Dr. Daniel Hale Williams School on Saturday,
October 5. The event was held to
prepare future college students for higher
education and becoming adults, as well
as provide them with opportunities to be
constructively involved and make better
choices.

DELI OWNER LOESER STREET NAMING CEREMONY
Assemblyman Jeffrey Dinowitz recently joined Councilman Andrew Cohen to honor longtime
Loeser’s Deli owner Fredy Loeser with a street co-naming ceremony at West 231st
Street and Godwin Terrace, where the deli has called its home for nearly 60 years.
Fredy Loeser celebrated the street co-naming with Dinowitz, Cohen, friends and family.

BCC CELEBRATED CONSTITUTION AND CITIZENSHIP DAY
Bronx Community College observed Constitution and Citizenship Day last month. The event
featured a presentation by New York State Senator Gustavo Rivera. Constitution and Citzenship
Day is observed every September 17 to commemorate the signing of the Constitution
in 1787.
