St. Benedicts lost 3-0 to Global Container
who was constantly putting
pressure on. Despite the 3-0 score,
Ryan Clarke played outstanding in
goal as this game could easily have gotten
out of hand if not for some amazing
saves! Offensively, St. Benedict’s created
a number of chances with great
ball movement by Jason D’Agostino,
Joseph Balbona, James Addario, and
Danielle Shack. Making strong runs
from the defensive back were Alessandra
Romeo and Wint Kennedy. Unfortunately,
the team missed that last
touch to bury the ball in the back of
the net. This is a resilient team that
is looking forward to getting back on
track next week.
A young Dr. Ken Gonoud Team
took the fi eld against Brewskie’s Bar
& Grill. Offensively, the Gonoud’s
were led by Justin Bell, Donato Marrone,
Giuliana Valenza and Mckenna
Delatore. Brewskie’s took a quick 2-0

Led by Annabella Delatore, the defense

Brewskie’s off the score board the rest
of the game. Defensively, Eve Searles,
Isabella Rosado, Edona Mulliqi, and
Madison Rodriguez added to the defensive
scheme in the game. A penalty
foul against striker Justin Bell
allowed Dr. Gonoud to try to get on
the board. Donato Marrone took the
awarded penalty kick and scored....
making the score 2-1 with a couple of
minutes left. First Year Goalie, Victor
Rivera made several outstanding
stops but it was not enough . The fi nal
score was 2-1 Brewskies. Offensively,
the Gonoud’s had several offensive opportunities
but just could not execute
on some open netters to tie. Great effort
by everyone, Coach is very proud
to see the development of the team.
BOYS MAJORS
Bronxville Auto met up against
Stan’s Sports Bar in a morning matinee.
Bronxville came to play shorthanded
today, 5 of their starters were
not available for this game but the desire
to win was a priority. Bronxville’s
reserves led the charge by showing up
and playing hard. Bronxville’s offensive
front were led by Jayden Piparo,
Brian Jurado, and Matteo Marrone. It
was a close game where both defenses
where committed on not allowing a
score. Bronxville’s Jayden Piparo
opened up the score by netting a quick
goal and making the score 1-0. Both
offenses were aggressive and Stan’s
Sports tied it 1-1 before the half. Both
teams kept being aggressive on the offensive
side but both defenses were up
to the challenge. Defensively, Christopher
Flanagan, Max Wiehler, Frankie
Monti, Finn Wiehler, Aaron Diaz and
Dylan Almestica secured the defensive
side of the fi eld by not allowing a
strong offense to strike. Midfi elders
Daniel Lopez, Giuseppe Mineiro, pressured
and moved the ball in a nice aggressive
offensive front.Giuseppe Mineiro
scored in the second half to tie up
the game at 2-2 with 10 minutes to play
Goalie Geo Rodriguez made numerous
stops, high and low, but a lack of defensive
positioning allowed Stan Sports
to score the fi nal third and decisive
goal. A great shout out to Goalie Geo
Rodriguez for keeping us in the game.
Yours truly stopped counting after
Geo’s 10th save of the day. Bronxville
lost a tough one by the score of 3-2. It
was a great game that no team wanted
to lose. Coach is very proud of the way
the reserves played today and Bronxville
Auto will bounce back. Next up

with Stan’s Sports Bar at 9 am...come
all to cheer on Bronxville Auto!!!

Week 5 gave us Michael Anthony vs
All Time Detection. Michael Anthony
took an early lead in the fi rst half and
went up 3-0 before All Time would capitalize
on a free kick off the foot of Tori

some nice passes in the offensive zone,
All Time was just not able to capitalize.
