 and disposing of large materials, residents  
 are our best partners to stop it,”  
 stated Montes.  
 “If someone witnessed the dumping  
 of these boats, or any illegal dumping, 
  we ask that they report it to 311 or  
 online. Information from the public is  
 very useful to us in trying to establish  
 a pattern of behavior so we can catch  
 the culprits,” he added.  
 Councilman Mark Gjonaj said  
 that  the  prolifi c tractor-trailer parking  
 problems on Bruckner Boulevard  
 next to Pelham Bay Park has now led  
 to illegal boat dumping, and that his  
 offi ce “is all over” the problem.  
 “This is something that we are addressing  
 with local authorities,” said  
 Gjonaj, adding he is creating a platform, 
   with  the  hashtag  #shamenyc,  
 where people can report quality of life  
 concerns  directly  to  the  councilman  
 and city agencies.

 inequity  in  the  Bronx”  while  unfairly  
 burdening  Mott  Haven  in  the

 The Bronx Night Market’s partnership  
 with  SummerStage  is  offi cially  
 underway! Some of the city’s best food  
 has been complimenting some of its  
 best music  in  17  neighborhood  parks  
 around the city since the end of June. 
 In that time, concertgoers have had  
 the  pleasure  to  experience  one  of  the  
 city’s  most  extravagant,  diverse  culinary  
 offerings  that mostly  hail  from  
 uptown.   
 Recently, Taste Buds Required  
 showed Queens  and Brooklyn what  a  
 true punch that Haitian cuisine could  
 deliver.  
 That’s  in  addition  to  the  Fried  
 Kitchen battering up its notorious  
 fully  loaded  potato  waffl e with fried  
 chicken will be making a much anticipated  
 return along with other Bronx  
 and city favorite popups.  
 The  remaining  SummerStage  
 with Bronx Night Market vendors is:  
 jail plan, including a rally on the steps  
 of City Hall. 
 “The Mott Haven community  
 would be better served through a reinvestment  
 of city resources into the surrounding  
 area,” Diaz said.
