
 
		RAIN HONORS LOCAL LEADERS 
 RAIN honored Denise Nunez, LINCS, Children’s Hospital at Montefi ore medical director, with its Community Impact Award during the annual RAIN Maker Mixer Fundraising Event on Friday,  
 June 21 at the Residence Inn by Marriott. All proceeds for this event will support the RAIN Cucina Dolores Mobile Food Kitchen. RAIN celebrated and honored Councilwoman Vanessa  
 Gibson, Assemblywoman Latoya Joyner, Alex Abrams & Mark Colon of NYSHCR, Larcenia Walton, Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr.’s director of Senior Services for their amazing efforts  
 to launch this much needed Senior Program at Findlay House on Friday, June 28.

 BOSTON SECOR CENTER’S 4TH CELEBRATION 
 RAIN hosted its 4th of July Celebration on Monday, July 1 at Boston Secor Community Center. The event featured live music by DJ Giovani, a Tribute to  Our Soldiers live performance by  
 The Rainets, food, dancing and raffl es.

 Councilman Andy King joined Nicola Lacerra,  
 Jr.,  Nick’s  Pizza  owner;  the  Lacerra  family,  
 and  countless  local  residents who  stopped  
 by  throughout  the  afternoon  of  Tuesday,  
 July 2 to commemorate the pizzeria’s 50th  
 anniversary. The restaurant located at 1356  
 E. Gun Hill Road offered customers slices for  
 only $1 in honor of the special milestone. 
 Nicola  Lacerra,  Jr.  (c),  Councilman  King  (r)  
 and  a  Nick’s  Pizza employee  welcomed  everyone  
 to the celebration.
