Everywhere we turn in western Queens, it’s clear the
holiday season is upon us: festive lights hang above our
streets, craft markets abound and all of our neighbors
are decorating their Christmas trees and lighting
their menorahs. We wanted the pages of BORO to be
just as cheerful, so we asked so we asked you to tag us
(@boromagazine) in your Instagram pictures of the holidays
in Astoria, Long Island City and Sunnyside. You sent in shots
of snow-dusted Christmas trees lining the streets, deliciouslooking
Hanukkah cupcakes and gingerbread houses, a child
lighting a toy menorah and an abundance of festive pets. Take
