SHOPPING 28 | BOROMAG.COM | NOVEMBER 2013 Story HAYLEY BRIDGEWATER ere is no question that Astoria has a great deal to o er on the health and tness front. Training centers, sports clubs, running groups, alternative healing therapies, studios for yoga and dance, boxing and martial arts gyms....It is like a toy store for someone like me, and I truly enjoy meeting everyone who is supporting the quest for better health in the area. No matter where my visits and research for BORO magazine may take me, I am often confronted with questions and discussions about nutrition, food sensitivities and interest in a clean, chemically free diet. As the business landscape of Astoria is constantly changing, I decided to take a tour of the established local health markets. Some are larger than others, many supply organic produce, prepared food and fresh juices, and a few are expanding into providing vitamin, herbal medicine, and nutritional supplements. I encourage you to stop in and experience what these local businesses have to o er. 3021 30th Ave, Astoria, NY 11102 718-278-1726 M-F 7am-9pm, Sat 8am-9pm, Sun 10am-6:30pm Known for their reasonable prices and a free “treat” for spending $20, Sai Organics has something for everyone.
