Like her new nightstand, everything in her
room has a unique backstory, and it’s constantly
evolving. A self-proclaimed “Pinterest
fiend,” Mullen is constantly looking for ways
to revamp her space. Right now, it has a classic
and fun vibe, full of memorabilia and trinkets
gathered from work.
Her bed is white, accented with colorful
throw pillows. Her dresser is also white, as
are her desk and chair on the opposite side
of the room.
“When I first moved in, it was super girly,”
Mullen said of her room. “I gravitate a lot toward
pink, which I try to reign in. I like pink, but
I’ll put too much pink in my room and I’ll be
like, ‘Ew, it’s so girly.’ Rachel says my room’s a
lot more reflective of my style right now.”
Also a plant-mom, Mullen has baby succulents
and plants scattered throughout, and
one strategically hangs from a pipe on her
ceiling.
Near the window hang two shelves Mullen
put together. She had small planks of wood
cut at Home Depot, drilled two holes on the
ends, and suspended them with durable
string tacked up on the wall, forming a triangle
shape.
If Mullen didn’t make it herself, chances
are it’s from Target or CB2, and sometimes
