Astoria resident Aurora Satler
worked in food media for over 10
years. Her job description fluctuated
constantly. Satler owned
her own catering company and
also worked as a culinary creative
director, all to “produce beautiful
pieces of edible art,” she fondly remembered.
When she gave birth to her
first child, she expressed her love to him
through homemade, organic purees that
kept her son healthy.
But there was one problem: “I was starving,”
Satler recalled, always “forgetting
meals and skipping meals” while focusing
on her kid’s health in front of her own. “It
has to be easier than this,” she thought.
“There has to be a way to feed everyone
in one fell swoop.”
