PUPPY Love T regain composure, and the doctor continues. “You know, sometimes people bring samples with them,” Dr. Glasser says. “Stool, urine—whatever. So, the next time the woman came in, she handed me an empty plastic baggie. I asked her what it was, and she replied, ‘Oh, that’s her gas sample.’” “I said, ‘What?!’” “She goes, ‘That’s her wind sample. She’s passing so much wind, I can’t stand it. We had to cancel the bridge club meeting because it was so horrible. Can you run a complete analysis?’” We laugh again, uncontrollably, and then Dr. Glasser leans forward. “We do have a lot of fun, and there are terrific stories, but we want people he Steinway Court Veterinarian just signed their fourth 10-year lease on the hidden space tucked just off of Steinway near Mama’s Empanadas. The office is run by Robert Glasser, D.V.M., and his wife, Sara. The two have been married 32 years and work together on a regular basis. “Sara runs all the business aspects,” explains Dr. Glasser, “which allows me to focus on medicine and surgery. We have a lot of fun, and that’s how we have survived. You have to have fun.” When asked about some of his favorite stories, Dr. Glasser immediately begins smiling. “We had a very good client who came in a few times,” he explains. “The first time she came in, her cocker spaniel had an ear infection and a common skin irritation, so I sent her home with some antibiotics for the skin and some drops for the ears. When I called a few days later to check up and see how the cocker spaniel was doing, the woman said, ‘Oh, Dr. Glasser, she’s doing fabulous, just fabulous.
