Goin’ to the chapel 10 I BOROMAG.COM I FEBRUARY 2016 STORES Wedding planning can be both exciting and terrifying for a brideto be. Take from it Nicole Panetierri, the effervescent owner of The Brass Owl, who was there just one year ago. She has invited her wedding team (all Astoria-based wedding experts) to participate in a wedding information workshop at The Brass Owl on Thursday, Feb. 18, from 8 to 10 p.m. “It’s a great chance to ask questions from people you aren’t actually paying any money to,” Panetierri says, though the experts are certainly available for hire if a bride-to-be connects with any of them. The panel of professionals will include Amanda Savory of Bespoke Moments (wedding planner), Eden DiBianco of Eden DiBianco Beauty and Alexis Buryk of City Love Photography. These ladies will help clients understand the planning process and what it entails. Unlike many wedding expos, this is a no-pressure event. It is intended for brides to get inspired to start the planning process, not to book any vendors. There will be a makeup demonstration to show some fun bridal looks. And in true Brass Owl fashion, wine and cheese will be served. If you simply need to shop for yourself or someone you love, the rest of the store is open with shoes, clothing, candles and lifestyle items. The Brass Owl 36-19 Ditmars Blvd. Astoria, NY 11105
