Epic Escape Rooms has themed rooms where
you and your team must work together to find
clues and solve riddles in order to escape in
60 minutes or less. Escape Rooms are great
for friends and families but also team building
exercises amongst employees. It is also a great
place to hold birthday parties for all ages.
There are 6 rooms in total, if you are looking
for more of a story then you may want to
check out “The Pazzioli’s”. But if you and your
group really want to be scared then “Killer
Feature” may be the one for you. If you visit
their website, you can see the difficulty rating
for each room to better chose which one would
work for your group.

For the third consecutive year, LI-Kick takes
the title for the top intramural league for
adults on the island. Since 2013, it has focused
on providing adults an outlet to meet new
people and form lasting friendships in a fun
and social atmosphere. LI-Kick offers strong
recreational and competitive platforms not
limited to kickball, soccer, bowling, volleyball
and cornhole, all available year-round.
Interested parties can sign up for a league with
a group of friends, or fly solo and join a team
they can feel comfortable in. Make that leap of
faith and get ready to have the most fun you’ll
ever have!

CYO of Long Island offers a variety of
programs for children of all ages including
soccer, track, swimming, volleyball, basketball
and chess. Some of the programs start as
young as kindergarten and go as high as
twelve grades. CYO of Long Island was first
established in 1958, the organization has
grown immensely since then. The programs
now serve over 25,000 children a year
across Long Island. CYO recently started a
new initiative called “CYO Steadfast” that
brings athletics to the children that need it,
the program also provides educational and
nutritional support for the children. Although
the CYO was established through the Diocese
of Rockville Center the organization offers
inclusive services to all children regardless of
culture and faith.

ANDERS LEE
A key member of the Islanders resurgence,
Anders Lee serves as the captain, drafted
in the sixth round, 152nd overall, by the
Islanders in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
During the 2017–18 season, Lee again played
as left wing on the first line with Josh Bailey
and John Tavares. Lee was the Islanders’
leading scorer with 40 goals, tied for seventhmost
in the NHL during the regular season.
Lee additionally had 22 assists, making a
total of 62 points for the season. On April 23,
2018, he was nominated for the King Clancy
Memorial Trophy. At the beginning of the
2018–19 season, Lee was named the 15th
captain of the Islanders.
BEST ISLANDER - ALLTIME
BOB NYSTROM
As a key player on the New York Islanders
when they won four straight Stanley Cup
championships between 1980 and 1983, Bob
Nystrom – also known by his nickname “Mr.
Islander” – is clearly one of the most beloved
Islanders of all time. The winning goal he
scored in overtime during Game 6 of the
Stanley Cup finals to give the team the first
of those titles certainly played a role in fans
naming him Best Islander this year. Nystrom
joined the Islanders in 1972 but his first full
season with the team was 1973-1974. He was
selected to play in the 1977 NHL All-Star
Game. Nystrom retired in 1986 after 900
games and his number, 23, was retired in
1995.
BEST LONG ISLAND
DUCK
JOE IORIO
Joe Iorio is the right-handed relief pitcher
for the Long Island Ducks, the island’s own
professional baseball team founded in 1988.
The West Islip native had a 3.09 ERA in 32
appearances in the 2019 season and also
ranked first among Ducks in innings pitched
with 128.1 and fourth in the club with 92
strikeouts. Iorio has played two seasons
with the Ducks and has played six seasons of
professional baseball overall. He was selected
to pitch the Atlantic League All Star Game and
tossed a scoreless inning out of the bullpen.
Prior to joining the Ducks, Iorio spent his first
four seasons in the Frontier League with the
Washington WildThings, Southern Illinois
Miners and River City Rascals.
