Congress fails to reach new
CARES Act program as of October
14.
The current CARES benefits
expired on September 30th.
Many of the companies in aviation

have had to lay-off and
furloughed workers. Contact

health. FAA reports drop of over
65% of flights, passenger volume
down by similar numbers.

Stakeholder Messaging
JFK Airport management
continues with its
“Resumption of Services
and inning Back our Customers”
remote meetings
every two weeks for the
stakeholders at JFK Airport.
This is hosted by
the Aviation Department
in response to the Covid19
crisis.
The Port continues to
coordinate with its partners
with consistency
through these meeting. Immediate
implementations
include deployment of terminal
signage. regular
cleaning and sanitizing,
social distancing, use of facial
coverings, plexiglass
shielding, and overall precautions
that passengers
and workers should practice
when taking a flight.
Currently terminal operators
are working with
concessions with a phasedin
approach based on distancing,
ready-to-eat food,
and looking for additional
food availability. Port is
also working on ne Health
and safety cerfifications to
make the public more confident
is flying.

health forms from travelers
from states with high positive Covid
numbers as part of NYS DOH
Travel Advisory. Face masks are
required at the airport for entire
entire journey from entering terminals,
at gates, on aircraft and upon
destination. Bring, and wear you
mask.
Covid Testing: XpresCheck
Rapid and PCR testing centers at
JFK and EWR. Adams Health Services
now open at JFK Terminal
one- 3 hour testing and PCR tests
available . All centers open to all
airport workers and airlines. Certificates
are available for proof of
testing for travelers.
Global Entry
The Global Entry office at JFK
has reopened September 8 at T4m
ground level.

The Port Authority has launched
a survey for airport employees to
understand the experiences and
changing needs many employees
face as a result of COVID-19.
