On Oct. 30, as part of the New York City Football Club (NYCFC) league, the younger BWG teams traveled to meet their rival, Met Oval, at the Metropolitan Oval soccer field in Maspeth. It started with early games played by the 2007 teams. In the first game, the teams tied each other 5-5, while Blue Weiss Gottschee won the second game 5-4. After, the 2006 teams took the field, Met Oval won both of the games with a very entertaining first game 4-3. Lastly, the 2005 groups took the field, and BWG won both of those games. On the Academy side, the 2002 Academy team traveled to North Carolina for the USSF Academy Showcase. The team played three games in three days, winning the first two and playing to a draw in the final contest. BWG 14s defeated the Triangle Futbol Club 3-0; BWG 14s beat Richmond United 2-0; and BWG 14s tied with Boca United 1-1. Also, the BWG U12 girls team won their second State Cup game against Washingtonville by the score of 4-2. Mila Sadeghi scored two goals, while Monica Lopez and Eva Gonzalez each scored one.
