Michelle Trone, owner
MCT New York Fine Wine & Spirits
To the residents of Queens -
It is with great pride that I have decided to open an alcoholic beverage
store in Queens. This store will replace the empty Toys R Us along the
Whitestone Expressway.
My store will be an experience. It will be very different from any store in
the Queens market: offering an outstanding selection, competitive prices,
best-in-class service and an unparalleled experience.
Best of all, I will employ 175 people, offering jobs to local residents. A
majority of these jobs will be full time with full benefits – health care,
dental, retirement, GED and college tuition assistance, partner benefits,
and more.
The in Whitestone/College Point will be operated as two stores, side by
side – one licensed by the State Liquor Authority to sell wine and spirits,
and a separate store to sell beer and New York State food products. My
store will carry at least 1,000 NY wines, 1,100 NY beers and ciders, 400
NY spirits, and 500 non-alcoholic NY products and snacks.
My store will have a large classroom for free tastings and education
classes, and the space will be available free to the community for meetings.
I am committed to working with civic leaders and supporting local causes.
I’m proud to bring jobs and benefits and a unique shopping experience to
the Queens community.
I have applied for a liquor license and expect to create a business that will
make Queensites pleased to shop in our unique environment.
As a woman owned and operated store, I will personally oversee our store.
Sincerely,
Michelle Trone
