Queens enjoys a fun ‘Night
Thousands across the World’s
Borough gathered together with local
law enforcement on Aug. 6 to celebrate
the National Night Out Against Crime,
an evening of fun activities designed
to promote a stronger bond between
police and the communities they serve.
From Astoria to Rockaway and every
neighborhood in between, the Night
Out events included food, games, music,
entertainment and an array of other fun
activities. Police offi cers also had the
opportunity to meet with local residents
and crime prevention tips with them.
Th e National Night Out Against
Crime has been a summer tradition in
New York City and the United States for
nearly four decades.
