Your guide to the National Night Out in Queens this Tuesday

In their annual eff ort to build a stronger
bond with the communities they serve,
the NYPD will host “National Night Out
Against Crime” events across Queens and
the rest of New York City this Tuesday
night, Aug. 7.
Th e block party-style events include
fun events for the whole family, including
games, food, entertainment, music and
much more. Members of each precinct
will also be on hand to greet residents in a
show of support and mutual cooperation.
Th e National Night Out Against Crime,
held every year on the fi rst Tuesday of
August, involves events in thousands of
communities across the U.S. and Canada
aimed at promoting strong ties between
police offi cers and the communities they
serve. Th e NYPD coordinates the local
National Night Out events in cooperation
with the National Association of Town
Watch, the organization that founded
the event.
As noted, the National Night Out events
in Queens — scheduled to take place rain
or shine on Aug. 7 — are as follows:
100th Precinct (Rockaway Beach)
Th e 100th Precinct’s Night Out takes
place from 4 to 8 p.m. along Beach
95th Street between Rockaway Beach
Boulevard and Shore Front Parkway.
Activities includes face painting, children
activities, refreshments and crime prevention
information.
101st Precinct (Far Rockaway)
Enjoy some fun and games as the 101st
Precinct celebrates its National Night Out
from 3 to 7 p.m. at O’Donohue Park,
located at Beach 17th Street and Seagirt
Boulevard. Th e event features activities
like carnival rides, entertainment, food,
talent show, and sports tournaments.
102nd Precinct (Forest Park)
Come and interact with neighbors,
community members, and local businesses
at the 102nd Precinct’s Night Out,
which takes place from 5 to 9 p.m. at
Forest Park’s Victory Field, located at
the corner of Woodhaven Boulevard and
Myrtle Avenue. Activities will include
giveaways, refreshments, children activities
and much more.
103rd Precinct (Jamaica)
Enjoy some barbecue and bounce houses,
face painting, food, fun and more as
the 103rd Precinct gathers together to celebrate
their night out from 5 to 9 p.m. at
Rufus King Park, located at 89th Avenue
and 150th Street in Jamaica. Guests young
and old can also enjoy karate demonstrations,
vendors and a live DJ.
104th Precinct (Middle Village)
Join the 104th Precinct for an enjoyable
evening of community spirit and
entertainment from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
at Juniper Valley Park, located on 80th
Street between Juniper Boulevards North
and South in Middle Village. Some of the
fun activities include dance classes, giveaways,
rides, concert, health screenings
and refreshments.
105th Precinct (Cambria Heights)
Come to Cabbell Park for the 105th
Precinct’s Night out from 5 to 9 p.m. at
the corner of 121st Avenue and Francis
Lewis Boulevard. Th e precinct will have
plenty of music and rides for guests to
enjoy, among other fun activities.
106th Precinct (South Ozone Park)
Join the 106th Precinct and city offi -
cials as they gather together to celebrate
National Night Out from 6 to 9 p.m. at
Police Offi cer Edward Byrne Park, located
on 135th Avenue near North Conduit
Avenue in South Ozone Park. Th ere will
be games and activities for kids, and lots
of information on ways to work with the
NYPD to keep the neighborhood safe.
107th Precinct (Pomonok)
Head over to the Electchester Shopping
Center to celebrate National Night Out
Against Crime from 7 to 10 p.m. Join the
107th Precinct for a night fi lled with face
painting, carnival games, refreshments,
and a DJ. Plus, there’s a blood drive for
anyone who to help out even more.
108th Precinct (Woodside)
Spend some time with your friends and
neighbors at the 108th Precinct’s Night
out, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Big Bush Park,
located on Laurel Hill Boulevard between
61st and 64th Streets. Come and enjoy
an aft ernoon fi lled with bouncy castles,
games, refreshments, giveaways, pony
rides, face painting, DJ and much more!
109th Precinct (Flushing)
Head to Kissena Corridor Park for the
109th Precinct’s Night out from 5 to 8
p.m. at Kissena Corridor Park, located
at the corner of Colden Street and 45th
Avenue in Flushing. Activities include
face painting, games, food, entertainment,
and crime prevention information.
110th Precinct (Corona)
Come and celebrate the 110th Precinct’s
Night Out at Flushing Meadows Corona
Park from 4 to 8 p.m. near the park’s
entrance on 111th Street between 54th
and 55th avenues. Th e fun activities
includes a back pack and school supply
giveaway, face painting and magic, raffl
es, free food and refreshments, a soft ball
tournament and more.
111th Precinct (Douglaston)
Come and learn how the 111th Precinct
keeps your neighborhood safe and protected
during the Night Out from 6
to 9 p.m. at the Douglaston Shopping
Center on the rooft op above the Fairway
supermarket located at 242-02 61st Ave.
Activities include bouncy castles, hotdogs,
DJ, clowns, giveaways and beverages.
112th Precinct (Forest Hills)
Come to MacDonald Park and see why
the 112th Precinct’s Night Out is special to
many people. Th e event takes place from
6 to 9 p.m. in front of MacDonald Park,
at the corner of Queens and Yellowstone
boulevards. Join in for some activities like
children’s craft , DJ, performances and a
tennis club exercise.
113th Precinct (South Jamaica)
Join the 113th Precinct for its National
Night Out Against Crime from 6 to 10
p.m. at Baisley Pond Park, located at
the corner of 155th Street and Baisley
Boulevard. Th e fun includes a dancing
contest, a demonstration by the
Federation of Black Cowboys, raffl es,
board games and refreshments.
114th Precinct (Astoria)
Come one and all for the 114th
Precinct’s special Night Out in Astoria
from 5 to 8 p.m. on the Great Lawn
of Astoria Park, along Shore Boulevard
between Ditmars Boulevard and Astoria
Park South. Activities include pony rides,
dunk tanks, face painting, refreshments
and clowns!
115th Precinct (Jackson Heights)
Enjoy the 115th Precinct’s Night Out from
5 to 8 p.m. at Northern Playground, located
on Northern Boulevard between 93rd and
94th Streets in Jackson Heights. Th ere will be
games and activities for kids such as music,
face painting, bouncy rides and more.
