Cops looking for suspect
in Jamaica murder
Police are looking for the person who
shot a man to death in Jamaica early on
Monday morning.
At 3:31 a.m. on June 11, police responded
to a 911 call regarding a person shot
near the intersection of Liberty Avenue
and Liverpool Street.
Upon their arrival, offi cers found
59-year-old Errol Blackwood in the driver’s
seat of a 2017 silver Volvo sedan,
unconscious and unresponsive, with gunshot
wounds throughout his body.
Authorities say that the victim was
involved in a dispute outside the nearby
Jouvay nightclub when he was shot multiple
times. WABC-TV reported that the
victim managed to make it back to his car
and tried to drive himself to the hospital.
EMS responded to the scene and transported
the victim to Jamaica Hospital,
where he was pronounced dead.
No arrests have been made at this time.
Th e investigation is ongoing.

Creep gives a buck to
girl, then molests her
Police are looking for a man accused
of sexually abusing a girl in Jamaica last
month.
On May 16 at around 3:35 p.m., the
unidentified suspect approached a
12-year-old female victim at 144th Street
and 87th Road and asked her if she wanted
money for the grocery store, according
to law enforcement sources. He then
handed the victim one dollar and hugged
her.
Aft er the suspect tried to hug her a second
time, the victim moved away from
the suspect, who then grabbed her breasts
before fl eeing the scene.
Police described the suspect as a
Hispanic man between 30 to 40 years old,
standing at 5 feet 4 inches. He was last
seen wearing a pink T-shirt, white shorts
and black sandals.

Burglar steals thousands
in Elmhurst
Cops are looking for a thief who burglarized
an Elmhurst apartment and stole
a huge pile of cash.
According to police, at around 9 p.m.
on June 2, an unknown person forced
open the door to an apartment in the
vicinity of 54th Avenue and 83rd Street.
Once inside, the crook stole jewelry and
$20,000 in cash.
Th e apartment, authorities said, belongs
to older tenants.
“I guess they didn’t like to put money
in the bank; they got worried,” a law
enforcement source said about the case.
Th e suspect, who was wearing a bike
helmet, fl ed the scene on foot westbound
on 57th Avenue.

Helmet-wearing bandits
invade Bayside home
Police need your help in fi nding three
armed bandits who smashed their way
into a Bayside home, tied up two workers
and stole their cash and cellphones.
Law enforcement sources said the robbery
occurred at 1:25 p.m. on June 6 at a
home on 214th Place. Surveillance camera
video that the NYPD released on
June 9 shows the three crooks riding up
to the scene on a single motorcycle.
Moments later, authorities said, the
suspects approached the front door of
the home and, using a hammer, smashed
through the glass. Th ey then proceeded
inside and confronted two male workers,
ages 49 and 53, displayed a gun and
demanded their property.
Th e bandits tied up the men, then
removed $1,000 in cash and a cellphone,
and fl ed the scene in an unknown direction.
Both victims were brought to a local
hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Police did not provide a description of
the suspects, each of whom wore motorcycle
helmets and hooded sweatshirts to
conceal their identities.

Person of interest wanted
for Flushing gym thefts
Offi cers are looking for a man who may
have information regarding a recent number
of locker theft s at a Flushing gym.
According to police, a member of the
YMCA gym, located at 138-46 Northern
Blvd., put his gym bag in a locker and
secured it with a lock. When he returned
to the locker room, both the gym bag
and the lock were missing.
Authorities say that this gym has
reported many grand larcenies recently.
On June 8, the 109th Precinct tweeted
out photos of the person of interest that
they would like to see for questioning.
Th e person of interest, who does not
appear to be a member of the gym, was
spotted leaving the gym through an
unsecured rear door. At this time the
person is not wanted for any crime.
