Here are 10 camps across Queens that
you child is sure to love this summer

It may seem like a long way off , but
summer is on its way. Th e short, cold
winter days will soon become the long,
hot days of summer and you’re going to
need a way to keep your kids busy while
school is out.
Many camps throughout the borough are
starting to enroll now. Here are some camps
that you child can sign up for this summer.
The Queens Botanical Garden
— 43-50 Main St., Flushing
Ages 2 to 14 years old
For kids who love to learn about the
outdoors, the Queens Botanical Garden
has programs for all ages. Each program
off ers a hands-on experience that will not
only broaden their gardening skills, but
also fosters their imagination.
YMCA – Multiple locations
around Queens
Ages 2 to 15 years old
At the YMCA, there is an experience
that can’t be replicated for campers of all
ages. Campers will have a safe, accepting
environment that will help boost their
self-confi dence, self-esteem and leadership
skills. By the end of the camp, you’ll
see why it’s fun to stay at the YMCA.
SuperKickers — P.S. 69, 77-02
37th Ave., Jackson Heights
Ages 3 to 12 years old
If your youngster is all about soccer,
SuperKickers is the camp for them. While
soccer is the main focus, kids also have
water play, arts and craft s, fi eld trips
and playground time. Parents can choose
from the part-time schedules or sign up
for the extended day, which runs until
6 p.m.
Queens Zoo Summer Camp
– 53-51 111th St., Corona
Pre-K through eighth grade
Animal lovers of any age will love the
summer camp at Queens Zoo. Campers
will go in depth learning about animals,
their habitats and more through handson
activities and investigating wildlife
around the zoo.
Oasis Day Camp – Queens

Pre-K through ninth grade
No matter how old you child is,
Oasis has something for everyone.
Young campers will learn social skills
and play games while older campers
will take day trips and be able to
explore their own individual interests.
World of Discovery Day Camp –
The North Flushing Swim Club,
141-01 32nd Ave., Bayside
Ages 4 to 15 years old
If your child loves to swim, the World
of Discovery Day Camp is a great fi t!
Swimming is a staple in both summer
camp options, but there are plenty
of activities to participate in through
the camps. Whether you sign up for
two weeks, eight weeks or anything in
between, your child will have a blast
playing sports, doing arts and craft s and
more!
UTSA Summer Day Camp
– Billie Jean King National
Tennis Center, Flushing
Meadows Corona Park
Ages 4 to 17 years old
If your kids love tennis, they should
give this camp a shot. Campers have the
opportunity to improve their skills, make
new friends and have fun. Multi-sports
programs are a part of this camp, introducing
campers to soccer, soft ball and
more to help enhance your child’s athletic
development.
Camp Invention – over 50 locations
in the NY-Metro area
Grades K through sixth grade
If your looking for a camp that will get
your child’s creative juices fl owing, Camp
Invention is for them! Kids at Camp
Invention are engaged in fun, hands-on
activities that encourage creative problem
solving, teamwork, innovation and
entrepreneurship. Your child will have
fun while building up their confi dence at
the same time!
NYC Parks Experience Summer
Day Camp — Multiple
locations in Queens
Ages 6 to 13 years old
Fill your child with outdoor fun and
adventure at the NYC Parks Experience
Summer Day Camp! In addition to participating
in activities such as arts and
craft s, fi eld games and computer classes,
campers will also have fun doing outdoor
activities such as bird watching, canoeing,
fi shing and hiking with the Urban
Park Rangers.
Girls Who Code — NYC
(Location TBA)
Current 10th- and 11th-graders
If you have a daughter in high school
who is interested in learning the write
code, this seven-week summer immersion
program is here to help. Participants will
take classes in robotics, website and app
design, go on fi eld trips and meet industry
pros.
